Work towards a British Canoeing Paddle Award – whether you’re a beginner or looking to develop your skills further.
Suitable for ages 8-15, choose from a Beginners Course or Improvers Course taking place during half days Monday to Thursday and then on Friday embark on a full day paddling journey on the River Thames. The week will finish with a BBQ and Certificate Presentation at the Centre.
Experience a variety of crafts including open canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.
Beginners Course is ideal for those new to the sport or those with limited experience to work towards the British Canoeing Paddle Discover Award.
Improvers Course is designed for paddlers with some experience to develop skills further and work towards the British Canoeing Explore Award.
Places are limited and we operate a first come, first serve basis – don’t delay, book today!

09.30 – 16.00 River Thames Paddling Trip, BBQ & Certificate Presentation
You’re more than welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before the start of each day to sign in.
Prices
£125 per course
Payment is required on booking to be paid by BACS, cash or cheque. Unfortunately we do not support card payments currently.
The important stuff
- The address for the Centre is – Dolphin House, Whitchurch Road, Pangbourne, RG8 7DA
- All specialist equipment will be provided.
- There is an additional charge if you would like to receive a certificate on successful completion of the paddling award.
- Participants should be water confidence, preferably a swimmer.
- On booking, we will supply all the information you need to know.
